Iron & Brush Gallery and Studio Preview Opening

Point Richmond “Art Walk” Thursday, January 19th, 2012, 6 – 9 pm 

Joe "JoJo" Cerda, a member of Arts of Point Richmond is a professional artist of many mediums. JoJo, a resident of Point Richmond is a native of Los Angeles, and has called the Bay Area home for 18 years. JoJo welcomes the community to the preview opening of his new gallery and studio, Iron & Brush located at 217A West Richmond Avenue, Point Richmond at Art Walk on Thursday, January 19th, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. JoJo is exhibiting a selection of oil paintings from his body of work.

 As a Fine Arts student at the Academy of Art in San Francisco, JoJo nurtured his passion for oil painting and sculpture, earning him the Fine Arts Director's Choice Award for oil painting.

Aside from his love of nature and his ability to capture it in his oil painting and sculpture, JoJo is well known as a gifted tattoo artist. JoJo has been recognized with numerous awards, such as Best Large Tattoo and Best Back Piece at the Body Art Expo. With ink as the medium and skin as the canvas, JoJo can capture a memory, a symbol and a feeling in such a way that is meaningful and unique to each client. JoJo's art tells a story...as real artwork should.
