Mary Seid is a native of the Bay Area and a graduate of U.C. Berkeley in Decorative Arts. Her introduction to watercolor started in England while living there with her husband who was on a 3 years overseas assignment with Bechtel International. She was a painting student in Ilea adult courses in London and Henley-Upon-Thames.
On return to the states she continued studies at the Richmond Art Center and Contra Costa College. Her paintings tend toward the illustrative, inspired by the relaxed mood or uniqueness of the scene before her at various exotic locations around the world.
Mary Seid has been a member of Arts of Point Richmond since 2009. She continues to be a valuable asset as a member and an artist. Her support of the art movement in Point Richmond strengthens the mission of Arts of Point Richmond.
