Photography is a visual meditation for me. I try to be fully present where I am, open to everything I experience, and curious about what I see. I always have my iPhone in my shirt pocket, so taking photos is as easy - or difficult - as paying attention.

I am particularly interested in things I see but don’t understand – objects I can’t identify, people or objects that seem out-of-place in their surroundings, or places where people or objects are oddly missing. And when I look back at my work later, I am particularly intrigued when something I thought I saw when I took the photo turns out to be something entirely else.
