Isobel Green is a textile artist whose love of sewing began in high school and has continued throughout her life. Drawn to the textures and possibilities of repurposed materials, she creates handcrafted bags and purses from upcycled upholstery fabrics and, more recently, from recycled blue jeans—finding inventive ways to use nearly every part of the denim. Her current explorations include bargello quilting, a technique that allows her to play with movement, pattern, and color through fabric.

Active in Arts of Point Richmond, Isobel contributes to the local arts community both as a maker and an organizer. She recently produced a four-woman exhibition, highlighting her commitment to supporting and celebrating the creative work of others.
