The artistic journey that brought me to the medium of oil painting has been both varied and fulfilling. I have traveled extensively, exhibited internationally and enjoyed years of teaching all ages. During these years, photography and the fiber arts have been the focus of my practice until recently when I finally gave in to my desire to paint.

I have always had the idea of oil painting dancing around in the back of my mind but I never seemed to find the time or courage to give it a try. Finally, I decided that it was time to “go for it” so I jumped in head first. I had nothing to lose and hopefully a lot to gain. Never have I been so challenged and passionate about an art form.

My main focus has been on figurative painting. I love exploring the synergy between my subjects and their surroundings and playing with reality and abstraction.
