Rita M. Gardner

I’ve been an artist all my life. As a child growing up in the Dominican Republic I began painting, drawing and writing, and later discovered the joys of photography.

In 2014 my award-winning memoir "The Coconut Latitudes" was published, and I’ve also contributed to several literary anthologies.

Lately I’ve enjoyed playing around with digital imagery by adding layers and other touches to photographs. I love nature and finding what is hidden in plain sight. I’m also rediscovering the joy of drawing, and having fun making portraits. Thus the eclectic sampling!
