History

In 2019 AOPR members Sharon Goods and Kenoli Oleari approached the AOPR Leadership Team with an idea for making large format vinyl banners using the artwork of AOPR members and hanging the banners outdoors in downtown Point Richmond.

A year and a pandemic later, Taking It Outdoors (TIO) came to life, with art banners appearing on walls, windows, gates and fences in downtown Point Richmond.  Every year, a new crop of art banners appears, and the project has evolved into an iconic annual Point Richmond event.
